Applying venetian plaster. I only got my computer back online in any real way this evening.

If I missed anything, let me know.

To be honest, anything would have been an improvement, but yes it's coming out well. It will take me another two weeks by my guess to get all the walls in the living room plastered and polished and then I'll deal with the next phase of things.

If you're going to bother, you may as well do it properly. Besides, I don't want to have to do this again any time soon.

absolutely - I live by that - with passion, as well as I can, or not at all

Theoretically, I should have enough done to get another bookcase in place tonight.

Looks very neat, why is it called "venetian plaster"?
Is your plasterer an out of work gondalier?

Oooh, it's looking terrific! Such a lot of work. Sympathies on the computer problems, same here.

bronxelf, NLI says:

YH- Thanks. I think it will take another two weeks.

JXL: Just google it. You'll find out fast enough.

Tori- Thanks, will check it out.

Caine- No computer problems. Chuck was fine. I just had nowhere to set him up. The best I could get was a mess of cables and wires in the middle of the living room floor which quickly got to be more trouble than it was worth. Yesterday afternoon I finished building the new desk so I set everything back up then. The room is still ongoing but at least I have access now.

9th Feb 2007, 19:59

Caine says:

Ah. I can see where it would be easier to just stuff Chuck in a corner for a while. Have you taken any shots of your new desk? I'd like to see.

9th Feb 2007, 20:52

bronxelf says:

The new desk isn't anything special, but it's a) new and b) not in the crap shape of the old one and c) (best of all) NOT BROWN. Soon as I have the rest of the area set up and some lights (right now it's just too dark to take photos) I will take some.

Google it, yes, I could have done that.
I thought, perhaps naively, that you might want to enlighten me.
I'll know beter next time.

12th Feb 2007, 08:18

bronxelf says:

Yes, and of course, I thought you might understand that I might not have the time to write about something that could easily be googled, faster, with less effort than it would take for me to type out an appropriate explanation.

I'll know better next time.
