The church is 700 years old & the inn, a mere stripling at about 500 yrs, was once a nunnery. Local legend claims a tunnel between the two....

(Edit) Way hey! A Cheshire girl - which bit? Be vague as you like. :)

My roots are in Tarporley, but I grew up in Chester.

Do you hail from the fair county of Cheshire?

Not entirely but I spent bits of my childhood in various bits of East Ches. Do like a nice redbrick Cheshire farmhouse & all those twiddly village names like Peover Superior & so forth...

All my fathers side of the family are from Cheshire. Rostherne, Peover, High Leigh & Buglawton in the 1770s.. I was brought up just over the border in Lancashire before it became Greater Manchester..

Where abouts is this then H? It looks vaguely familiar but I can't place it..
