I seem to have been slacking off... Not on my drinking, just the moblogging of it. Too bad, I've had some good wines since the last time, hopefully I won't forget them. Tonight we will go with something from Au Bon Climat.

but how was the wine?

I hope it was good because the label's not as pretty as some that you've blogged

I liked the wine. I first had Au Bon Climat at a wine dinner over a year ago. I enjoyed every single wine they poured. I've been meaning to go visit the winery as it is not too far away from me.

This was brought to us by a friend, who a couple years back briefly toyed with learning to enjoy wine, before deciding it was really not for him. He had about a quarter glass of this when I poured and found it too complex and... what did he say? I can't remember. Essentially he felt there was too much flavor.

Merlots are not normally my first choice and I mainly drink it when it is being poured for me. I am not convinced we have a single bottle of purchased merlot in our cellar. I completely enjoyed this one, but not knowing the price point (and it isn't currently available anyway) I can't say if I would have purchased it.

Anyhow, I liked the flavor of many ABC wines but their labels are all dreadfully understated and boring.

Okay so you have a cellar....
When can I come over ;-p

Well, not like a full on real wine cellar. One of these sorts. Plus an under-counter unit. Altogether we have temperature maintainable storage for about 300 bottles.

We sort of like wine.
