This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Traditional flamenco is really better in small, intimate places as the movements are subtle. To really appreciate the art you need to be able to see the facial expressions.
When well done, new variations of flamenco (flamenco nuevo or flamenco fusion) are normally better suited to a big venue. Some of the stage craft of this festival has been absolutely fantastic. I'll let you know when I've finished the blogs and reviews. Then if you feel like taking the time you'll get a much better picture.

actually I can, and it might interest you to know there was a gaggle of girlies gathered as close as they could get to this guy while staying in the audience . Not a phenomenon one normally associates with flamenco...

I couldn't. Still learning myself. But if you have about 10 years and endless dedication I can point you to someone who can.
Flamenco lessons are usually 20-40 women to 1-2 men, so the men get more attention from teacher and students than they might elsewhere
