Aw, love the hanging down legs.

bronxelf, NLI says:

She looks very cute, but she's been INCREDIBLY grumpy lately (yes, even for her.)

5th Mar 2007, 16:36

Puddikat says:

Aw.

bronxelf says:

More like "Holy shit what is your PROBLEM, lady?" On the best of days she's pretty surly. But lately she's just been impossible.

5th Mar 2007, 16:38

Puddikat says:

Oh hope there is anything wrong and that she's just being a grump.

bronxelf says:

I think she's just unhappy with all the chaos over thepast month, and she is not sure if she likes or hates Gatsby,

5th Mar 2007, 16:42

Puddikat says:

Oh dear. I have only realised since Billie died that Nellie wanted to be part of a one cat household. Billie adored her but Nellie always got mad with her and spent most of her day outside but now she spends all day in and follows me around waiting to sit on my lap.

bronxelf says:

The dynamics in this house are bizarre to say the least.

Gatsby wants to be an only cat. He pretty much has decided to hate everyone.

Hydrox wants to be an only cat. She has acheieved detente with most everyone, though she gets into the occasional fight with everyone save Gatsby, whom she ignores almost entirely.

Hilfy and Argent get along fine. Hilfy doesn't much like ANYTHING though, and really, it's only sheer detente between her and Hydrox. She and Gatsby go from chasing one another, to her attacking him.

Boo is almost 20. He can't hear, and can barely see. The other cats frighten him because he bumps into them accidentally, and they get angry. It's not that he doesn't get along with the others, it's that physically he can't really *SEE* them and he gets easily scared.

Argent gets along fine with Hilfy. He *usually* gets along fine with everyone. But he also has a sneaky streak and likes to sneak up behind the others and whap them in the ass. This is not met with good humour by the others.

As for me, I just want them all to SHUT UP. I don't care about justice, I want quiet.

Puddikat says:

What a mad house it must be, at least I had only two to contend with and now one, can't blame you for wanting quiet : )

Sprocket says:

B'Elf - oh my, didn't realise you had such a full household. You must be constantly vacuuming.

5th Mar 2007, 16:59

bronxelf says:

Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming. But fortunately, there's no carpeting here, You just have to keep up with it. It only takes forever if you don't do a little bit each day.

Tori says:

The little bit each day makes a huge difference, when we got back from our trip the fur level was out of control (didn't help to be away while the canines are in the midst of blowing their coats).

The lack of carpeting is very important too, and unfortunately we have not managed it yet. I despise the carpets here. They are utterly disgusting.

5th Mar 2007, 17:22

bronxelf says:

you know this already, but I think carpeting *in general* is disgusting. It covers up crap workmanship, and it traps dirt, dust, hair, allergens and mold. It's DISGUSTING.

5th Mar 2007, 17:55

Tori says:

Our old house had seriously messed up hardwood floors under the carpets (exceot the hallway where somebody had stuck linoleum to the hardwood sometime before they put the carpet in,

I ripped out all the carpet and then painfully scraped off the linoleum. The floor looked awful but it was so much better than the carpet.

I finally managed to refinish the floors (and they were beautiful) when it was time to sell.

bronxelf says:

I'm going to need to put some kind of VERY SMALL rug under the coffee table to a)protect both table and floor and b)to provide some contrast between the two as they're both black.) That is as far as I'm willing to go, and I will wash the hell out of the thing. I *absolutely* hate carpeting.

5th Mar 2007, 18:11

Tori says:

One of my friends has a piece of painted canvas, with finished edges, under her coffee table, instead of a rug.
