My bit of knitting. Started to learn around this time last year but soon got
out of the habit, determined to see it through this time.

JokerXL says:

Er, why?
Never understood the attraction of getting all tagled up in string.

reasons for knitting:
1. I like to be involved in what the kids are doing
2. it's something creative I can do while they're around
3. the plan is to try and quit smoking this year, and if my hands are all tangled up in yarn, it's going to make rolling a ciggie harder.

Reasons for knot knitting;
1. Life's too short
2. M&S; do it better.
3. Those damn tangles!

My mum used to knit, she'd often be muttering and mumbling under her breath about "stupid pattern" "bloomin' cat" "never finish in time for birthday/Xmas/winter/school"
Not "relaxing" at all, far from it.
So it's her fault I have a "thing" about knitting.

Reasons to be knitting;
Part 1) Cheap cashmere garments.
2) M&S; don't make anything for the long of limb.
3) Smug feeling of accomplishment...

Reasons to be knitting:
1. It's relaxing
2. It's fab when your pattern gets published
3. You can keep kids at a safe poking them with pointy sticks!

JXL don't you find muttering under your breath a relaxing pastime, I know I do!

I can see I'm outnumbered here, you're all ganging up on me with your nasty pointy sticks.
I shall gracefully retire to my Knit-less world.

*reads third point of swampdonkey's list*

*almost splorts tea all over keyboard*

It does not work quite as well with dpns, though :-)

Love the yarn!

I don't knit, only crochet, because it's much harder to stab someone with the hook when you're in a bad mood...

swampdonkeys says:

no Silar, dpns haven't quite got the same distance, but you can get 4 or 5 prods at the same time!
