What, Ash played the Waterfront this weekend gone? They were the first band I ever saw there, way back in 1995. Supporting Elastica. Would loved to have seem 'em again.
they did indeed I'm afraid. and even more sadly it was a brilliant gig - one of the better ones I've seen them play. tim did say they'll be coming back later in the year, so keep your eyes open I guess!
it was only weird in the sense that I always sing her parts for songs, and that felt a bit wrong somehow ;)
apart from that, it was almost strange how much she wasn't missed at all. mark's taken on a lot of the guitar stuff on bass, like he plays the non-twiddly bit at the start of a life less ordinary and stuff. it all sounded really, really good though.
as for rick, aw, he had a little plastic fan. some of the drumming on the new album is shaping up to be really good, especially 'In Hell'/whatever they end up calling it officially. keep you ears open :p
Charlotte Shouldnt Have Been Playing With Them In The 1st Place !! I Saw Them At Sheffield As Couldnt Get Tickets For Norwich...Is Anyone Gonna Be In Koko July To See Them Again ? Ive Got Tickets For The Thursday And Friday Nite :) Bring It On
God, how is it easier to capitalise every word like that? What is wrong with people?
And Charlotte was easily the best thing about the band for quite some time.
They were the first band I saw at UEA in '98, at the LCR.
Mmmm Elastica.
