Mmmm, if only we had smell-a-vision!!

Each fortnight, we have the Newcastle Farmers Markets, at the showground.

Last time, I found a stallholder who sold milk from the farm gate. That is, not factory processed. Like, off his farm, from his own cows. It was so creamy and tasty, I simply HAD to bake with it.

So here are my scones.

Jigalong says:

When I was younger, the family had a cow that mum use to milk each day.

The thing that I really enjoyed was sprinkling the sugar over my weekbix with the creamy milk turning a yellow colour. It was just fascinating. I'm glad they havent outlawed fresh milk like this altogether.

My boyfriend, who is a city type was a bit perturbed by the yellowish tinge. He also had to get used to the creamy 'ring' forming around the bottle and the skin that sometimes forms on top of his coffee.

Hahahahahaaa! City folk...
