This was back when the snows came through - that morning the snow was falling as ice driven near horizontally across the field. We had to wear eye protection or keep our eyes shut. Very, very cold.
The hangovers didn't help...

Reminds me of pictures taken along time ago.
The farm goes back to the 17th century; take away a bit of the byre, hide the telegraph poles, re-roof the barns with something trad' & not much has changed in all that time...
got the sleet and hail stones here just now, a day early ...
Doesn't really sound like weather for venturing out to the park for photo ops... ;)
