Mothering Sunday

What with my own Mother dying so recently I would have preferred the day to
pass unmarked in this house. But I didn't want to disappoint DD who like
all children has a generous giving heart, so I let it be known I would
accept a practical present only. Flowers are lovely, but just now the whole
of the world is awash with them. Everyday is a bouquet...

I think you bash the bejesus out of a hard boiled egg mixed with mayo to make a sandwich filling. I'm not a great egg eater myself..... : 0

Fittingly, I spent the day with siblings making a start on clearing my mother's house. Some of the thousands of bills, rent books and bank statements were so old that I found myself speaking in Anglo Saxon in their honour....
