Hmm, well hopefully not too bad D. I'm finally getting my arse in gear and Sorting Out My Finances like a good boy.

Getting rid of temptation is the first step (oh, self restraint, why have you deserted me??).

Good for you!! And Barclays too - with their rates I don't blame you!

Mine was 28% or something stupid so I rang them and said that if they couldn't reduce my interest rate I was switching to another company. They reduced it to 18.7%. Result!

Good lad - I'm about 3/4 of the way through my 4 year plan to get out of debt.

Now to celebrate by buying a new telly. *

18.7%?! Blimey, that's still really hefty - I never give any of them the chance to "do me a deal" - i'm down to 4.5% on most of my debts by shuffling them around a bit.

*(only kidding)

Still hefty indeed but *SO* much better than 28%! Thankfully I'm only in 3 figures (hundreds) so it isn't so bad!

I can't shuffle mine, no one will have me 'cos I'm a student with techincally no income so even tho they can see I am keeping up with my current card they won't let me swap to them!
