Handicapped? How do you get in??

I couldn't resist this one - you're handicapped, in a handicapped space, and your truck is lifted by about a foot. Now, for those of you who might argue that it's for someone else who might be in the car, where I live they give you a red H/C tag for that. Oh yeah, the truck was a manual transmission, too. Go figure.

To be fair though, the DMV did give him/her a Tag. So we should really just go beat up on the people that approved the form or the dr that gave him/her a dr's note. And then beat up on this guy for form's sake. :)

You don't need to be missing a limb to be genuinely classified as disabled - he (or she) could have angina or some other heart/lung condition.

Like lefthanded04 says, you can't always *see* why a person needs a handicapped parking permit.

After my hip surgery I qualified for a handicapped parking permit for a while (although I never applied for it), and I wasn't in a wheelchair. Also, for months both before and after my surgery it would have been *much* easier for me to get in and out of a tall truck like that than a regular car.

All handicapped people aren't little old ladies. I was 31. :)

But you're all missing the point - this truck is an extra 12" plus off the ground - very hard to get into and out of, difficult for an able-bodied person. This isn't a regular truck, it's jacked up Bigfoot-style.

They're right. After my nervous breakdown, I was on quite a few meds, etc, and they gave me a handicapped partking pass, as part of just general procedure (lord knows I wasn't driving anywhere) -- anyway, but still, nothing was wrong with me physically at all. Of course, that doesn't mean that my clumsy ass would be able to climb in and out of this hideous ass truck though. :) -- And, honestly, I didn't see the pass in the window when I first posted. -- Sally's right, some ppl with stickers aren't old ladies.. they're troubled youths. I always thought it was kind of ironic that they gave me a handicap pass, seeing as how it was a guy in the walmart partking lot and a mixture of equal parts road rage and just plain old agression that sent me over the edge; needless to say it involved his vehicle and my baseball bat -- but hey, in the end, they wanted to make it more pleasant for me to drive -- which amused me greatly. In fact, it's still funny. But then, I think everything is funny, especially 'lightning's obsession with odd cars.

Well, that's all fine and well, but here's what I've got: a truck that is too tall for a physically disabled person to climb into (I would have trouble), and the truck parked in front of a store that sells power tools. So, if the person has mental problems, they should not be buying such things, IMO. :)

it looks like a temp tag so maybe he broke his leg or foot or something... but then if its a manual transmission why would he still be driving - dont you think hed borrow someone elses?
too confusing...
