sorry, but this begins my annual native plant photos. Prepare for boredom.

This is bloodroot, small, white, and the first to bloom. It is hugged by its leaf as if to keep it warm. If you dig up the root and break it, it looks just like a skinned knee. Used as a dye by First Nations people.

If you want to find my house, it is the one with the rocks out front. forget the house number.
