i passed these today and it occured to me that they may not last until the next sunny day to photograph them........

only just opening! wow....they are having to put tulips in chillers here as they are opening far too early...the Spalding tulip fair wouldn't be the same with 'blown' tulips...

They live in mutual association with a fungus which, I believe, is why they are so limited geographically.
