Some tossers have stolen the both of the slides from the local park. I've heard of copper piping being stolen from buildings, but stealing kids slides? Some people need a good kicking!

The park is now closed, who knows how long it will take the council to get their act together and replace them.

Did you just get down there to discover it? That's just wrong. This is the kind of instance where a council run SMS alert scheme would be really really useful.

This happened a couple of weeks ago, just before half term (nice!) and I didn't know it was theft (as opposed to a refurb) until a few days ago, so felt I should highlight it...

We had a situation here a few weeks ago where teenagers dumped harsh cleaning fluid on a slide as a joke, and a child suffered second degree burns from using the slide. What is this world coming to.
