View from a real guest house. We're on the 4th and last night of the
trek. Tomorrow, we'll cross the lake by boat, and a bus towards
Katmandu.

Thank you! We really enjoyed the evening - we were both exhausted after a good 8 hours' walk, up and down steps mostly!
The sunset was very short, but it was indeed very beautiful.

That sky is fabulous. These photos are making me realise just how big an oppurtunity I missed a few years ago (ok, mor e like a dozen years ago!) A friend of mine worked in the terrai forVSO for a couple of years and I never made it out to see her.

Also; just listened to the audio extract on your blog - amazing! I felt transported - is it part of a longer piece?

I followed a link to a website from your profile page. The sound of the sea and women's voices...

sorry, me again, re the audio. Want to find the frogs now : )

Ah, that!!

It's actually a movie, not just audio. (mp4). It's an extract of a 28 min film I made with a poet, Cath Nickols, and a musician, Helen Maher, to illustrated Cath's poems. I did the visuals. Check out http://www.cathnichols.com. The voices are by actors.

When I get back I'm planning to update my website - actually rebuild it since I deleted all my work in 2002, and never really put it back on since. So you can see, hear even! the frogs then, unless they got gobbled up by cyberspace.
