Steve says:

Lewisham Station I got off the train and they were right there in front of me.

That's me in the top left :)

OJ says:

Oh yes, there you are!

Photographing yourself being caught on camera from a totally different angle....how very modern.

Steve says:

Can I be post modern

17th May 2007, 16:18

OJ says:

If you like.

There was a far longer answer to that question which involved the words "voyeurism", "surveillance" and "Sophie Calle" but it was scrapped on the grounds of pretension risk.

Steve says:

After a brief jaunt to wiki I understand the above and approve.

I would however prefer; "voyeurism", "surveillance" and "Sophie Dahl"

Oh, cool.

I just read on the bbc website that someone's made an entire movie by using cctv footage of herself. Apparently as part of the data protection act you can get any cctv footage that features you. clicky

Well since RAB has mentioned art, I'll just add that I really loved the cctv commission Jill Magid did for Liverpool Biennial in 2004 - it included this lovely cinematic video of her cruising around town on a motorbike, complete with soaring soundtrack - all put together from cctv footage. Link .

It sticks in my mind three years on....
