Now there is a thought - when training the wee bloke, train him in Japanese so he'll only obey you! I mean, they train German Shepherds in German.....;)

Tori says:

Man that thing is ugly. What are you thinking?

Well okay, I am just trying to convince MYSELF of that so I don't accidentally end up getting a puppy.

I was wondering the same thing as bronxelf, but then was trying to convince myself it was part of the person's thumb.

Good. Grief. Teh. Cute.

(Oh, and totally the right choice for the breed... from what I've managed to gather he'll be a great match to you.)

I didn't spend months researching breeds for nothing y'know... :)

Tullis - no name as yet. he might be Yuki, he might be Daisuke, he might be something else. We'll see. I've got five weeks to decide, before going to collect him..

Koji, Akio, Daichi and (the obvious) Akira are also being considered

just had email from breeder - the mark on his paw is there to identify him as mine, as they're all collar-free at the moment, a bit of fur-paint (nail varnish) is apparently the best way to do that.

Steve says:

How will Elvis react?

23rd May 2007, 12:15

mat says:

Dunno. Am quite looking forward to introducing them. Puppy will want to make friends in a very physical style. Elvis may be less certain, at least at first.

Ye gods, that's cute. Wait til you meet him to come up with a name - you might find he's more of a Stan than an Akira...

what a cuty puppy but gigantic already. How big is it going to be, I wonder.

24th May 2007, 18:25

silar31 says:

Mari, I think the photo is deceptive, look at the size of the hands on the pup. He's wee. From what I read I think he'll be the size of a beagle at full grown.

25th May 2007, 17:01

wormwood pearl says:

Yey, puppy :)

Watch out when introducing the puppy to Elvis. Remember, cats get spooked easily, and they have claws. They also know to target the eyes :(. So, be prepared to make a quick rescue in case they don't take to each other.

Also, keep in mind that Elvis has been the centre of the universe up till now, and it's unfair (and dangerous) to lavish all attention on the fluffey.

Good luck! I envy you so much :)
