Wow. Liverpool's bombed out church, which i've only ever glimpsed inside before is open at lunchtimes for a blitz exhibition.

Edit: The bombed out church is something of an icon. It recently hosted an installation of overturned boats as part of Liverpool biennial blogged here. But you could only see inside the church by looking through a window from a specially constructed raised platform.

Now Urban Strawberry Lunch - a group of artists - have persuaded the council to let them use it as a venue for an exhibition, poetry readings and other stuff for just a couple of hours a day.

I'm having a real TELL EVERYONE moment about this, because I'm not sure how long they'll be allowed to keep it open. So, consider yourself told.

Thanks! I can't tell you how excited I was to walk past and realise you could actually get in.

I might have some better pics and the video s I shot to try and capture the sound of the gothic organ playing might just have come out. But my phone just waiting for it to re-juice itself.

ps. Yes, UxB, they are exhibiting in it now. I've edited the post above to give more info.
