Awww, how sad. Our property is stuffed with trees, I'd be heartbroken to have to cut any one of them down.

Caine, not much choice unfortunately in the UK. Lack of space means that houses have been built on land where the trees were kings and as the trees are getting bigger they can do quite a bit of damages. Really miss the space you've got on the other side of the pond...

Well, as urban sprawl and blight spread more and more here, people are seeing a lot of that type of destruction. I'm a native Southern Californian, and spent most of my life there. I watched sprawl, blight and too many people destroy it bit by bit.

North Dakota is one of the least populated states. There are 636,677 people in the whole state. Much of the land here is conservation land and the bulk of the rest is farms. We did live in Bismarck for a long time, then moved to Almont, a tiny town of 203 people (only about 80 actually live "in town" though.) We love it here. :)

Never been to dakota. Spent 3 months in Indiana and loved it. Space, friendly people. Culture not far if you wanted to, lots of state parks.
Dream: live on the cheasapeake bay :)

Caine says:

Oh, the Chesapeake Bay is beautiful. Nice dream, that. :)
