Geo - sure did. But i think he regretted it, and not because of the rain. Only about 5 miles into the ride we came to the bottom of a steep climb, my back was not feeling good and i had requested we did a ride without hills (in Yorkshire??) and i did shout i am ashamed to say. I did apologise when we got home. And guess what? Half way thorough the ride the back ache eased off.

So, BB, let me say publicly that i was very horrid to you and i beg for your forgiveness. And just in case i haven't told you today - I do love you.

These bike slides are a relatively new idea in the UK - they were talked about at the Sustrans Ranger meeting I went to, so it's a possibility that they'll be springing up all over the place. I think they should be placed centrally so that the more adventurous can ride down them if they want to, and they could have a loop at the bottom!
