Yep, we're looking at a variety of cost variations. Could be not too bad, but is more likely to be the "£800 just to get the engine out and back in again to check it over" variety.

Ah the joys of having the engine under the front seats. I wouldn't mind, but it's only about 30 yards from where I'd picked it up having found that one of the brake calipers was siezed and that it would cost me around £100 to get fixed!!

Nope, no luck at all it would seem on the repair front. Do have another car lined up as a replacement though, so hopefully not all bad :)
