I'm a tarot reader and hobby astrologer just about all the time I'm not grooming dogs. I've been reading for about ten years now and have a lovely website created for me by my talented web designing, show producing and ever charming Irish man. We're doing live tarot chats these days which include free one card readings for all viewers and free flowing question and answer sessions. We've also set up a forum as well as a blog on the site. Come by and check us out.

Mr. Stubbs came in for a hair cut but his owner asked my opinion about shaving him down for the summer. It is my preference to do a good deshed on double coated breeds and neaten their feathers, giving them a generally tidier appearance and lighter coat. Shaving a double coated dog can cause clipper irritation that may result in permanent loss of hair and also places them at risk for sun burn.

Our deshedding technique here involves a three step bathing process with a recirculating bathing system, drying with a high velocity dryer and then as much carding and brushing as necessary to remove the remaining loose undercoat.

I think Mr. Stubbs looks great. Hopefully his owner will agree.
