From sane yet summery with a silk scarf to Joan Collins on a Riviera bender in simple steps. For the uninitiated - I'm rather taken with Prada's silk turbans this season so I made one myself.

1.Silk scarf.
2.Girl with the silky turban
3.Does my turban look bonkers in this?
4.You're only as old as you feel darling.

Simon says:

OMG - in the last one you look as though you are about to slip poison into someones cocktail from an elaborately jewelled ring - LOVING THE LOOK!

OJ says:

LOL @ Simon. Now you come to mention it, I'm just slipping out for a moment.

And thanks Viv.

i dig it, but then most things Miuccia does are fine by me. you are scaring the hell out of me in these photos, and i can't stop giggling at that bottom one. funny.

who shops in the Met Quarter then? i'm betting Flannels... :)

4th Jun 2007, 20:53

OJ says:

Scary is good.

The only shops I ever use in the Met quarter are MAC, Levis and occasionally Whistles. Never Flannels. I'm not a blingy label bunny.

I had a giggling fit shortly after taking the last one! :)

edit: apart from my glasses. I can't seem to find decent glasses without visible logos.

Sprocket says:

love the tags and number 2.

Whatever happened to Joan Collins . . . the bitch?

4th Jun 2007, 21:30

OJ says:

Sprocket, I last saw her on Graham Norton's show making borderline defamatory claims to have been physically assaulted by Linda Evans in their joint stage show.

I'm not joking.

And thanks. I like number 2 too.

nige says:

Hee hee. Now why didn't I think of that one 540, it would have made dressup even more fun.

*Goes off to google Norma Desmond*

FilbertFox says:

you look amazing. I think you have a bit of a look of Victoria Beckham in the last shot!

6th Jun 2007, 18:51

OJ says:

Unfortunately I have a little look of Victoria Beckham sometimes. We have the same nose. Fortunately for me I'm a couple of stones heavier and not steeped in creosote and botox so the resemblance is passing...

Try this Alia:

Turban sewing pattern

To be honest, my satin turban turned out to be highly impractical. The slippy fabric kept sliding off my hair...
