This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

Jigalong says:

I thought that the second one looked like a familar flower. Very nicely captured.

Dhamaka says:

thank you Jigalong and hello!

harimanjaro says:

Love the orange-type fruit in the third one - the way it's peeping from behind the leaves.

paintist says:

inspiring relaxing plants...nice office you have :-)

Dhamaka says:

harimanjaro - thank you. They're slightly bitter to taste so I soak them in brandy for a few months before serving them

paintist - The rooftop office garden is the best bit of where I live and the only bit I'll miss. However, assuming I get the requisite sponsorship money and am away for 5 months next year it'll all die anyway :(

Caine says:

Beautiful, all. I especially like the 2nd and 3rd shots. The small citrus is exceptional. Is there no one who could look after things for you?

minkey says:

Lovely series
Orange and citrus trees are fun to grow. The citrus tree I've got was covered in flowers and gave me few lemons which are now soaking in vodka :-). Just need a green house for it in winter
Is it a calistemon on the second shot :-)

Geodyne says:

Callistemon! And I'm pretty sure that your little citrus is a cumquat, based on the glances I've given it when I've been there. I'd have to taste one to be sure, of course...

I keep wondering whether there would be some way I could look after them for you while you're gone...but then I remember that I'll be away for 2-4 of those 5 months, anyway.

Very nice shots and a better green thumb

Tori says:

I like brandy.

Dhamaka says:

Minkey / Geo - Callistemon = bottlebrush?

Caine - maybe with Geo's help and other people's I can do it. I just don't think it's right to ask someone to come in to water plants twice a week for 5 months.

Geo - this isn't the same one as was producing all that fruit last year. It is the same one I showed you last time you were down though. However, they're definitely different plants.

Tori - do you indeed

midlife - thank you

FF - it's good to hear you're happy there :/
