Edge Hill international festival

The arts festival at the Liverpool local station best known for Stephenson's Rocket turned out to be a lively mix of typical community arts with more avant garde ideas and international touring work.

Jude Kelly's production company Metal, who are planning to turn a 19th century station building into an arts centre, I would imagine had a lot to do with the European work being there.

Dramatis personae in these photos include: the Baudelaire makeover gang, the girls from knitting shop Purlesque and a troupe of dancers from the Polish Saturday School.

It's a necklace made from Vietnamese dolls - by a Polish/Russian (sorry, I think it's the former) artist mchelle.

eclectic. Looks like fun, bit diffferent to your average British fete.
I hate that dropped ice cream feeling and the mustard/eclair/trifle combo is a little weird too

The mustard/eclair/trifle combo was part of the Baudelaire makeover stall. There were quite a few stalls which contained bits of stuff and the general invitation to make a mess!

I like the top one - it's like an English version of the Powerpuff Girls.
