I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.
What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...
I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose
Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...
food for thought...

Thanks to A THOUGHT FOR TODAY
from A.Word.A.Day with Anu Garg
the hole pictures are taken from where I sit at the computer fortunately I wasn;t there¡
and fortunately he managed to save himself from falling thro;
and fortunately my mac still works¡
lucky eh¡
my exclamation marks seem to be upside down¡ errÇ
something strange going on
anyone explain Ç - that;s my question mark and the latter should have been an apostrophe
The exposed lath and plaster and the shape of the hole makes for an interesting photo. I guess that's scant consolation. Don't know what to suggest about the Mac keyboard.
as far as I;m concerned it might as well all come down now - the time it would take to patch can be deducted from the cost - then we have time to sort electrics¡ A never ending story......
Have you got a foreign flag on your bar at the top of the screen?
Ganesh is not doing his job!
Mine switches to American every now and again, but that is because I have scant control over my mouse.
the whole thing was spattered with bits of plaster and dust and it was sort of bleeping so I was very grateful that it was still working - Shaun had sprayed the rafters with wood worm treatment and it had made them slippy!
Viv! your blog central has been attacked! what is going on? The bathroom was not enough? Those look like pretty substantial long boards. I hope it's those very nice Yorkshire men I met who doing all the damage.
hehe a Helen trap...what would it be baited with?...books?, liefmans?
Shaun mainly - he was mortified when he slipped - it was lucky he didn't fall right through!
Spanish? That makes no sense - the hole is clearly in the shape of a map of Africa. Check again: could it be Swahili, French? I hope you don't have any more mishaps. Collapsed ceilings are good for drama but bad for anything else.
:D OJ
maybe it was Ganesh at work and it was a good thing - led me on in a new direction...!
Personally, I would like to have seen a mortified Shaun coming through your ceiling.
He went with a hell of a bang and I'm sure must have bruises - but pride was the biggest loser!
Hmmm...taking done more plaster to get at the electrics is always tempting. I hope Shaun is o.k.!
Wow! That is quite a hole. I'm glad your Mac survived, although the keyboard might need some hoovering :)
There's only a central light in the dining room at the moment and I need other electric bits done if the ceiling came down and stayed down for a while they could be done altogether which would be much more economical
and yes it does euphro!
Have to agree, that hole is very Africalike ..... looking forward to the pics of the completed project .... and if it is to the standard of the bathroom then it will be excellent :)
bathroom was planned and contained these changes are more basic, structiral - details as yet to be worked out!
