“There are no grades of vanity, there are only grades of ability in concealing it”

Mark Twain

Trying out this project thing. See if I can last beyond 24 hours. I sincerely doubt I'll make it through the year.

I'm not always overly fond of my face. So, sorry.

At 3.30am this morning. Filthy and disgusting, after queuing and
travelling for over twelve hours. And wearing three jumpers.

Kostika says:

What were you queueing for?

Joe says:

Kos, to get out of Glasto I would imagine...

I've never been. Please forgive my ignorance.

We queued for three hours to get on a bus to take us to the train station. We couldn't put our bags down most of that time, as the ground was far, far too muddy. Then we had to queue for a train at the station. Then there were no announcements to say where the train was going and where people needed to change. Well organised. People were asking station staff for advice on how to get places, they couldn't tell anyone anything. "You'll be fine on this train".

People in cars weren't really better off though!

I know it was bad because my friend rach took about 14 hours to get home.

And then we couldn't get to Leeds because of the floods and had to be rescued from Manchester.

Nearly had to bed down in Birmingham.

Helen says:

I don't remember it being so bad last time. It can't have been. We even had reserved seats that time.

3:30am? for someone who said they wouldn't last 24 hours, you are committed to the "dailyme". i'm impressed.

i've never been to glasto either, but strangely enough the muddy moblog photos sold it to me, and i'm there next year. already got my guys looking for a winnebago. to hell with the tents!

Helen says:

That sounds rather appealing. Are winnebagos the shiny ones?

26th Jun 2007, 23:58

nige says:

winnebagos are the big camper van-type-things with their own showers, beds, toilets & kitchens. ahhhh, imagine the joy in that. they are also shiny.
