Parnngurr is located 370 kilometres due east of Newman in Western Australia.
The community is located in the Great Sandy Desert at the southern end of Karlamilyi (Rudall River) National Park.
There are 150 or so permanent residents here, a shop, and one school.

yesterday in Canada it was the national Aboriginal day of protest. Just to say that they thought it was time they had things like clean water, resolution to the land claims that have been going on for ages, and decent living conditions, like everyone else. Imagine that.
