This is Millaa Millaa falls. You may recognise it as the waterfalls that the Timotei shampoo lady did her trademark hair-flick in the adverts.

Millaa is apparently aboriginal for "water", and when a word is used twice it means "lots of", so this translates as "Lots Of Water Falls".

While there were a couple of tourists here, it wasn't too busy, and we were the only ones stupid enough to brave the freezing cold waters in order to swim round the back of the falls, do the classic hair-flick pose under it, and swim through it. Unfortunately the person I gave my camera to to take photos of me doing this buggered off for a coffee :(

The cow sculpture was in the local town of Millaa Millaa. Our tour guide played the Duelling Banjos music from Deliverence as we were driving through...

Wow! Shame we don't have the pics of you flicking your hair...

Thanks :)

Crickson> I know! The worst thing was I couldn't see that the person with my camera had buggered off so was flicking my hair like a bastard under a waterfall for no real reason. Although my hair was shiny for the rest of the week...

Mandy> Thanks. I love the idea that someone somehow commissioned the hand-up-cow sculpture and managed to convince the town hall it was actually a good plan.

Oh well. If you gave me your camera I'd bugger off too. It's a bit better than mine : )
