This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Never to get lost is not to live, not to know how to get lost brings you to destruction, and somewhere in the terra incognita in between lies a life of discovery."
........ Rebecca Solnit

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
........ John Muir

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."
........ Iris Murdoch

MaggieD says:

A sweetie indeed, but what colour is your 'throw' .... it looks a little washed out in this series of pics ....

26th Jul 2007, 19:39

Dhamaka says:

it is a very washed out blue

It was never dark, but is now even more washed out than you'd think. I use it to keep misha's hairs off the bed and since I'm mildly allergic to cats the throw gets washed after every single time she stays..

26th Jul 2007, 19:40

MaggieD says:

Well it looks like she has stayed a lot :)

nice shots, love the 4th especially

26th Jul 2007, 19:48

Dhamaka says:

thanks Joe - borrow it any time you're down..

Maggie - absolutely. She's convinced that my place is part of her domain and who am I to disabuse her of the notion.... Always when my parents' place is noisy, when the cleaner is there (2-3 times a week), when my brothers' kids visit (most weekends) and whenever I'm back after 11ish she'll be waiting outside my door...

she stopped caring about my photography a long time ago. She was waiting for the fuss I normally make of her.

26th Jul 2007, 23:37

Great catblogging! I'd still like to get a digital SLR at somepoint, I'm just not sure if I can justify it.

Looks like you're enjoying your new camera!

Well done! I really like the 1st and 4th shots. I so want a DSLR. One of these days. I'm going to have to start experimenting with low light now that I have a few more options with the S50.

Dhamaka says:

You're a great photographer as it is and would be devastating with a good DSLR
