"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

In all fairness, it was windy and the bees were not staying still. Also, the S50 took these shots.
Caine you bring a bit of bzzzzz in our days:-) The first one is weird but fluffy
Nice to see you got two options now
Thanks, Minkey. I have no idea what kind of critter is in the first shot. It lay very still on the catmint leaf. Now, you are going to enter the garden comp, right? You're more than good enough, and what matters is your eye. Say yes, I have months to nag you! :D
Thanks, Hari. :) None of these will make the comp, I have all four of my 'life in the garden' ones. Picking out the flowers is going to be a bitch. Help me nag Minkey into entering. ;D
Choosing is more than difficult, D. Geez, I might end up purchasing a lot more entries than I planned on. :) I have so many flower shots, and I have way too many favourites.
hehe
That was not the idea, but it is difficult isn't it.
I'll have sorted my stuff out tomorrow. I'll email you when
Hee. That's okay. It's exciting, and the money helps keep gardens alive. It's all good. Now Rick's thinking of entering too. It's fun entering comps. I've looked at past winners, and the competition is fierce, to say the least. It'll be fun. :)
:D No, the new one is nameless for the moment. It will take a while, I haven't gotten to know her well enough yet.
I love the furry chap in the first one, though he does have quite a sh.nozz on him doesn't, not that I'm "hooterist" or anything. (That's the English interpretation of "hooters" and not the American).
Yeah, that is a mighty proboscis, given what a tiny critter it is, considerably smaller than the bees. I have absolutely no idea what it is, either.
now you have some funny insects where you live. what is the first one supposed to 'bee'?
#1 is some subspecies of Hummingbird Clearwing Moth. These latest series of photos is wonderful Caine, and might I suggest that your pic of the lacewing on the peony be entered in the competitiion?
Thanks, SuziQ. :)
Jule, I don't know. Silar says some form of hummingbird clearwing moth. She's usually right. :)
Thank you, Silar! I've considered one of the lacewing photos from the start. :) I just can't decide which one.
Thanks, Joker! All sorts of odd things have been popping up lately. :D
Thank you, Hari! We'll get her. ;D
Again with the fantastic insect macros. Really great series.
Plus I like the name of your L1. I assume it died recently and was then raised from the dead?
Thank you! Yes, Lazarus did die. I killed it dead. It was then most happily resurrected.
