Let's go fly a kite

I went out kite flying with my mate Pete yesterday. Wind was weird and
inconsistent so we
only got the smaller foils out. No stunt kites :(
Pete was jumping with the 3m Blade and
the day was so lovely, I had to catch it on camera :)

whatever you do, don't let go ... unless you get above ten feet.

I must try this kitey thing, though I'm afraid I'd be swept off my feet and would come down with a bump somewhere far away and brambly.

Lovely photos, blues n greens n clouds.

thanks all :)
Taniwha - especially don't let go if you're 10 feet up! more dangerous than jumping down again. I've managed about 4 feet i think

Sprocket - don't be scared - i could start you with little ones and work up. The red one on the ground is only 2 metres and not really big enough for jumps.A good starter foil, and my first kite. Jumping is a premeditated thing and comes with practice, progression and bigger kites, but the kite can drag you a bit when you come out of a turn so you can do some ace skids :)
