I've seen that same pattern around somewhere and thought about it as perhaps my first felting project for whenever I get my craft supplies unpacked. :)

that looks very similar to a game my friend tom brought back from the congo, called ickibugu (not sure thats the right spelling)

that version has four rows of cups, and its one of those games thats really easy to understand, but incredibly difficult to master.

its bloody addictive too :)

They play variants of this all over Africa. I've got a board that I picked up in Zanzibar, but it looks a bit dull compared to this.

i like the sound of a game called icky booger, and it sounds a perfect title for the maltesers version - they melt in your hand not in your mouth!
