Personal Favourites from my moblog

"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

The first shot is for scale; these little spideys are *very* tiny and so pale they are difficult to shoot. They also like to play 'hide!' every time you get close to focusing.

they're gorgeous though

Caine says:

Thanks, D. They are like little camo or stealth spiders. Apparently they ambush and bypass the whole web business. They blend in remarkably well on a variety of plants. And they do *not* like having their picture taken.

Thanks, Hari. His 'breakfast' was about the same size as him.

Thanks, Puddikat.

095, David Attenborough I'll never be! It would be nice if I knew what half of these critters actually are. :)

Thanks, Ali. I've seen more critters and a huge variety therein then I've seen the last 3 years we've lived here. Magic summer maybe. Just got back in from another walk, found 2 *big* spideys, with their webs back to back.

wow again

Caine says:

Thanks, Viv. I've been seeing these little guys all over the place, with slight variations. Some are yellow instead of pale green; some are smaller, some are slightly bigger. You can chase them around a single flower petal for hours, they are distinctly camera shy.
