“There are no grades of vanity, there are only grades of ability in concealing it”

Mark Twain

Trying out this project thing. See if I can last beyond 24 hours. I sincerely doubt I'll make it through the year.

I'm not always overly fond of my face. So, sorry.

Felt a bit better this morning, then went to work and ruined it all.
Was zonked by the end of the day. Feeling a little better again now.
My voice is a little more consistent, but definitely not properly
back yet.

I dunno. Shrug. Is it not feminist?

I certainly wouldn't want to take Tori and Kos on, maybe more mutual appreciation.

My eye was more drawn to the dressing gown .... lovely colour, lovely pattern .... I am not getting into the female clevage debate ...... I think I am on enough dodgy ground with my 'inneundo' type cartoons ....

today is a good day for boobies!

nige even mentioned my topless consistency in my dailyme shots.

Hooray for boobies!

Helen says:

I think this is a fairly modest shot. I did my best to distract with the dressing gown and hair.

Interesting that my neck is much more acceptable than my chest (and you can't really see much of that here).

15th Aug 2007, 23:57

Steve says:

It is vaguely suggestive and more that I say :)

16th Aug 2007, 00:00

Helen says:

I think that necks "interest" me more.

Steve says:

That is because you are an Autoeroticist

16th Aug 2007, 00:09

Helen says:

Are you calling me a wan...

16th Aug 2007, 00:14

Steve says:

"Autoerotic asphyxiation, asphyxiophilia, or breath control play, is the practice of intentionally reducing the amount of oxygen to the brain during sexual stimulation in order to heighten the received pleasure from orgasm."

Not someone that fancies cars apparently

This blog is suddenly becoming uncomfortably revealing.

I've seen breastier shots in my time. One might even say this is just a fully clothed woman.
I know the internet can do better than this.

I mean, come on guys, this isn't even sideboob. Have a shower already.

This blog needs more sideboob.

Sideboob 365 FTW.

16th Aug 2007, 00:47

Helen says:

I agree.

I'm not sure that I'll be supplying sideboob though.

Viv says:

glad you are feeling a bit better

Helen says:

It's silk.

I don't know. I don't know what the boundaries are and how they are determined. I know that I wasn't particularly comfortable with the shot, but it's as tame as anything. My discomfort made me feel ultra conservative, which is something I generally try not to be. And it still looks rather conservative to me. So yeah. Shrug again. Hmmm, bodies and boundaries. It would be different if my face was in it.

What I do know is that I am choosing to interpret that comment generally rather than personally, which makes it ok for me.

Thanks mum. Still husky. They're going to make me answer phones soon aren't they?

Tori says:

I am glad you are feeling a bit better, even if you exhausted yourself by going to work.

I think this gown looks beautiful. Real silk, too? Nice.

16th Aug 2007, 07:00

Helen says:

It is very nice and was an absolute bargain, I should have got one in black as well.

16th Aug 2007, 07:02

Viv says:

From a Mum's point of view this is just an incredibly feminine and rather lovely picture and because of that it creates a response and proves that to be alluring you do not have to be overtly sexual - the geisha girls knew all about it!

Blimey - Moblog needs a cold shower this week...

Lovely picture, and glad you're on the mend.

Joe says:

You have no reason to feel uncomfortable, this is a lovely self portrait and any interpretation of it being suggestive is purely in the beholders mind. Nice dressing gown :)
