The journey so far

Sunday was Rufford to Abram, a village outside Wigan. Monday night was in central Manchester. On Tuesday we did 27 locks in the pouring rain to reach Ashton-under-Lyne. On Wednesday we went to Ikea, bought a table and chairs and then went all the way to Macclesfield! Yesterday was spent getting to Congleton and tomorrow it'll be Kidsgrove.

Ah! Sunny Congleton! A town that produced Me and Mat and feck-all else. Don't give it my love. Just throw stuff from a distance.

Although I suggest you try not to stop the boat, otherwise people will throw tin cans at you.

Do you have any idea where you're going to be around the 8th 9th of Sept? Cause headless and I may be flying in to the midlands that weekend.

I remember seeing these boats in Cambridge when Geo took care of us. What a great idea for Cambridge living. Hope you find a most excellent spot to tie up.

Take a pic of Leamington for me when you get there. My house is but yards from the canal. Shame I don't live there...
