From Adam Smith:

"St Nicks is the largest parish church in the UK and yet its clock has
been stopped for weeks. It is always a bit weird being fast or slow or
several hours ahead." UPDATE: As of March 2009, St. Nicholas's Church Clock has been overhauled and is running on time!

Hi Alfie,
Tried to add a link, but this sites overenthusiastic firewall treats it as Spam and rejects.
If you Google 'EDP24 Yarmouth St Nicholas' you should get there.
Have Fun

Interesting claim - Boston (St Botolph's Parish Church, home of the Boston Stump,) & Hull (Holy Trinity) also both purport to have the largest parish church in the UK. In addition, St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol is alleged to be the 2nd biggest parish church in the UK, so somewhere between those four bits of ecclesiatical PR there's clearly some sins of word & pride.

Still, the metaphysically-inclined have never been ones to let mere facts get in the way of a grandiose assertion...
