big city, big sky - just wow
and Gaiman's new movie too.... envy!
Did you like Stardust? Don and I went and saw it on a whim on my birthday, it was our first Gaiman film, we loved it! Same general reaction as Puff to the top picture! Rest are wonderful!
it was blue jays vs pittsburgh, I think. sure was high. it is all so secure that you aren't afraid. the elevator up is really a challenge for anyone with height issues.
Stardust. hmm. It was the end of a great day, in excellent company, and I was in the mood to love it. and I did. a fairy tale with a wonderful flying ship. It was very funny. fantasy is where I live. so I am not good reviewer.
No way you get me to stand on that glass floor!
I know the feeling when you live near some really cool "tourist attraction" and never go there. When someone visits, you go and realize how great it is. Then, when they're gone, you never go there again.
Strange, that.
I'm with Joker, I'd take a lot of convincing to look anywhere but at the back of my eyelids that high up. What makes the elevator worse than the glass floor?
I've been on that glass floor! I jumped up and down and made nearby people look worried. The steel floor they ran to was probably less strong than the glass one, which was hugely over-engineered - you could park a truck on there.
My big problem with high places is the urge to jump off them I get. That does concern me a little sometimes.
I always feel like I'm going to be sucked off them which is stupid, as there's no mystical wind that would drag me off the edge and leave everyone else there.... is there?
complex and colourful lighting... it makes these look like another one of the funwithmovies posts. very cinematographique
and i think the bear and ninjacodemonkey share the same smile :)
Of course I jumped on the glass floor, and of course people asked me to stop. This tower is so over engineered, it is amazing. The elevators are on the outside and they have glass fronts, and they are fast. your ears crack. so there are two kinds of people--the photographers at the front taking photos and the rest cowering at the back.
the lighting at night is all LED, so it is suddenly yellow, green, blue, or dark. never a dull moment, but a photography nightmare.
I want to go up there during a huge lighting storm. the tower gets hit bigtime.
and joker, you are coming next summer? :)
yes having visitors definitely gets you out and about and I feel just like that 540
it was an awesome day, and swamprose a peerless host. thanks.
oh, and the worrying about jumping on the glass floor thing wasn't rational.
i'm just cripplingly afraid of heights.
I miss you! don't you and the bear share something? safe travels.
