Playing with my phone macro. I think there's something quite uncomfortable about a larger than life eye staring at you. .

Steve says:

Nice eye shadow too

OJ says:

I was doing my eye makeup at the time Steve. Should your heart so desire, it's from Ruby & Millie.

I know what you mean Nige. I've taken to recognising children I've never met.

hildegard says:

It's the Un Chien Andalou effect that disconcerts, I think...

my sentiments exactly, though I was trying to refrain...

OJ says:

Surely not *that* disconcerting Hildegard.

your phone does that macro? sure beats holding a bloody heavy camera up to your face.

impressed.

OJ says:

Yep, it's the Sony Ericsoon K800i that quite a few people use.

Those pictures are cropped but you can still see the poweder settled in every fine line can't you ;)

hildegard says:

OJ - can't see a closeup of an eye without the rest of that scene coming unbidden.
The curse of a visual memory. ;)

Steve says:

Your closed eye has the texture and sheen of mermaids.

If I was to use eyeshadow I would be torn between Ruby & Milly, and MAC... Luckily I don't have to deal with these mind boggling dilemmas

"Your closed eye has the texture and sheen of mermaids."

What a lovely thing to say Steve, I'm touched ;)

You're bang on with the makeup choices too. I'd usually go MAC but had a voucher for R&M; and was pleasantly surprised. Not that I think about eyeshadow all that much you understand...

Steve says:

I am a big fan of eyes... you might say that the eyes have it!

MaggieD says:

I agree with Steve, though I could never have put it so eloquently ....

25th Sep 2007, 18:23

OJ says:

Yep, me too Steve - and MaggieD. Eye contact is very powerful, which is probably why giant eyes are so disconcerting. Or disco-concerting as I just typed....

At risk of sounding like a makeup advert, that particular one has a very good texture.

ps. I'm slightly surprised that the "eye" tag isn't up there in the most popular. I thought it was a bit of a default/cliche shot.

beth says:

i've got a very similiar colour in MAC actually and it's every bit as lovely. Helen's quite the fan of R and M but i've never had any myself.

Steve says:

I still love that Dalek/Clifton shot... make me smile every time.

26th Sep 2007, 10:39

OJ says:

What, this one?

That was a while ago, what on earth made you think of it Steve?
