everyone came to celebrate beth's opening at Sela. a great evening, amidst some truly great people, but sadly, my pictures are lacking in lustre. i'm blaming it on everyone who was kind enough to buy me a drink...

so great to meet everyone, and i just wish we all had more time & peace to chat, but it was a great evening.

PS: contrary to popular belief, leeds is not the centre of the universe, but they're not a bad bunch, and compelling enough for me to take a another trip back in a couple of weeks ; )

Have to agree on all points (well not about your pics lacking lustre), it was a great evening, but , yes, it was difficult to chat and see the artwork close-up, I too am heading back for a proper look .....

good to see more of the event.
did anyone photograph the butterflies?

and nige, you can think what you want, but you are obviously being sucked right back to Leeds and you think it's free will? ha! Leeds has mysterious powers.

Loving the top one!

It was a horribly difficult venue to photograph - I've had to throw out most of my photos.

Sela is brilliant - did you try North Bar next door as well?

Thanks for the pics: has given me no end of escape from work.

nige says:

i agree geo. it was seriously dark in there. even pumped up to max ISO i was still ablur.

tim, can't say i went to North Bar, although the Leeds crew probably know it. Sela was great, though.

beth says:

north is nice - we'd probably have ended up there on a different night or if we hadn't wanted lunch - north only does meat and bread and cheese and bread (oh and microwave pie and peas!)
