Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple

Inside this building there was a shrine (you were not allowed to take pictures). The people were knelt before it shaking containers with sticks in them. The containers were about the size of a large coffee jar and the sticks were about the size of a chop stick. After a while, one of the sticks would fall out of the container onto the floor. They then took the stick and used it in conjunction with a book which had a list of fortunes. The books had several hundred fortunes listed, so I guess the sticks had some kind of unique number on them - very interesting. Other people (outside) were lighting incense and using them, I guess, to pray.
