Hi, I'm Rick also known as Mr. C. I used to shoot with a Canon SLR, but that was a long while back. I got a new camera, an Olympus SP-510UZ on 11/06/06. I've added a Nikon D90 with a 55-200 lens to my camera bag in 2010. I'll get a camphone if Almont ever enters the 21st century.

I'm now shooting with a brand new Nikon D90 with a 55-200mm VR lens.

I love these shots, you did such a nice job capturing these old beasts. (No, you can't bring them *all home). Considering these are only a 1/2 mile away, I really should go poke around one of these days. These are all on Don's property, right? Same guy who has the bus?

*Hint: I really like the yellow beast in the 2nd shot and the PowerFlite.

My favourite is the fourth photograph because of its tactile quality. I just want to touch it.

well, I just like them all. I like the layout of all them as thumbs, and the careful detail of things that most people around here are busy arranging to have hauled away.

These, and the previous Bus shots are superb Rick!
You should look into the "HDR & tone mapping" technique (If you Google it there are lots of tutorials online) This kind of shot is perfect for it.

Thanks TMK. I've been wanting to get to this place for three years. Finally made it.

Thanks, Para. I'd live in an old junkyard/restore shop if I could!

C, yeah, I'll get you there.

Thanks Whose and Suzi.

Hi Sprocket. Field of Undone Pipe Dreams? Thunkin' staccato bass joined by screamin' guitar mimicking squealing brakes!

Thanks Factotum. That '51 Pontiac has my heart thumpin'. It has a straight 8 flathead in it, and I'm an early pontiac lover. You chose a good one to like!

Hi Swamprose. Things around here are startin' to get that way too. Gotta try to save what we can, while we can.

Thanks, JXL. I'll check out this technique.

Thanks, Nige. I'd love to see the results of your eye after guiding you through a couple of old junkyards. I'm sure we would both be astounded!
