Jig along says:

Love the autumn leaves. Are you still collecting/pressing the leaves? Are there many bison in Canada?

swamprose says:

Hi J. I have a car full of leaves. want some?

the buffalo, who made the ground shake when they moved, are gone. killed off. the remnants are preserved in zoos, and in ranches out west. they said it was like an earthquake when they ran.

swamprose says:

there are too many fences for anything to roam much anymore...horses, buffalo, elk..not much space to share. then there are grizzlies and their need for space.

and my need for space and no fences, and yours.

we need a ranch, mandy, a big ranch.

Viv says:

yeah but you need the city as well SR!
And after all the previous activity - perhaps Toronto needs a rest - doesn't look sleepy from here
life is like sweets eh?
more activity, more peace ...............
I'll have some of that and some of that and why can't I have it all together!!!
:)

factotum says:

I know there are some buffalo/bison farms in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, out around Magog because I've seen run away bison out on the road between Magog and Georgeville. And I also see frozen bison burgers and the like at Loblaws and the other big grocery chains...
Should you want any old floppy disks, Syquest disks or Zip disks, just let me know.

actually viv, I am a country girl. happiest slogging around wild things. I wonder why I live here in the middle of the beast.

mandy it has actually been a no good move to australia month. there's no way they'd let me into the US. even craig, idaho, and I love new mexico. north of albuquerque. :)

facto, runaway buffalo in the townships? something is just not right about that. we need wide open spaces and buffalo that fill the horizon and scare us. can we have buffalo for thanksgiving?

4th Oct 2007, 02:12

factotum says:

Yes, but it might be frozen patties from Loblaws.

Jig along says:

I know just the paddock to put the bison into. Central Australia. On the westside you have the rabbit fence, eastside the dog fence, and in the middle some 5,000,000 km2. That should keep them happy:)

hildegard says:

Is Commodore still afraid of trucks? Our police are a bit harsh about that sort of thing - horses who can't deal with heavy traffic, riots & being Loved by toddlers, are quickly re-homed outside the service.
Many UK police forces accept visiting mounted officers on busman's holidays to see how mounted divisions operate here - maybe Constable la Costa would like to visit? :)
