This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

Argentina - neutral news, good news and excellent news

The neutral news (changed from bad news because it isn't):
I've had to move my expedition through the Argentine Wine Trails from next year to 2009. That's because it's not possible to train for the expedition, get the logistics done, earn enough to pay the bills and get the sponsors in before January.

The good news:
Sponsors have pledged about a third of the money I need.

The excellent news:
It looks like I have my first big sponsor on board. I went to see these guys this morning and they're interested in sponsoring (and branding) 2 books and a blog. One of the things they reacted well to was a reproduction of Maggie's cartoon of me cycling in front of the Cliffs of Dover.

So thank you again to everyone who has helped and supported me and watch this space!

Thanks guys

Although the date change squashes my next plans I'm so happy not to have to train through the cold and rain (unless I want to - which is different). The extra year will let me add quality to the Argentine project and give me time to have a life, help Lucia more and do a couple of extra projects too!

Bad news not really so bad, at least it means you have proper preparation time and more time to get sponsors on board...

Good news, well at least the ball is truely rolling and hopefully the backing you have already got will soon generate more .... once prospective backers see what you have on board already, they will feel more positive about adding their's ......

thank you Paintist, sadly they'll only happen if I can make them happen, that needs me to be charismatic and positive and all I can think of at the moment is that I need to sleep for a week or two
