i was joking about the "pots", of course, swamprose. the craft was impeccable, and the story amazing, but what was missing for me was the sense of scale. i was left wanting.

not working on my office system, so i'll have a look at that when i get home.

over 7,000 of those figures were made. the BM had no more than 10 in total. they reckon the whole site will take decades to complete the dig, and it will unlikely happen in our lifetime, unless there is a radical change in the technology used for excavation. the facts bowled me over much more than what was on show.
