i've been trying to get one like that for ages, there's an endless field behind my house with one single tree in the middle of it, and it's always full of little black birds which fly around every few minutes, but ... never managed to get a good shot =(

you need a long focus lens, or a spy glass, or to cover yourself in mud and lie right under the tree, like Schwarzenegger did in Predator.
