It was my birthday party at the weekend. The theme was token effort, primarily because only about half the people wanted to dress up.

1. Geraldine used eyeliner to become a voodoo priestess. She won the converted best-dressed trophy (which, in keeping with the theme, was purchased at a dollar store an hour before the party started)

2. Walkely Talkely is visiting at the moment. He was sporting a fantastic ghost bandanna made for dogs. It includes the phrase "smell my feet" along the sides

3. Andrew dressed as a coyboy

4. Alex dressed as ermm... someone with a white face?

5. Karen dressed as a pumpkin

6. Kai dressed as a Vancouverite. He's sporting Lululemon yogawear, a staple of this city.

7. Random ninja

8. Daphne lost points for making way too much effort.
