At the site of the Betting shop there used to be a Pet Shop owned by the Lansbury Family (hence the name Lansbury Aquatics). I worked there in the early 90's after school (I was 14). £1 an hour they paid me, and they had the cheek to tell me not to spend it all at once!! ;-)

Tony Harris(fishbreeder-at-msn-dot-com) says:

To put the record straight Lansbury Aquatics was not owned by the Lansbury family it was owned by the Harris family which I am a part of. The name Lansbury came from the place where my Father started trading with fish number 2 Lansbury Road Enfield.
The shop actually started as the Budgie shop but my Parents took it over in about 1962, he had the clock erected in 1964 and it stayed at good time until they sold the shop to Bulldog Drummond in 1967, since then it hasn't worked.
I hope this helps you out.
