Sint Nicolaaskerk in Amsterdam. He's the patron saint of sailors. Can you imagine what this church has witnessed over the centuries? Generations of sailors going off to sea, those left behind praying for safe returns.

This has got to be darkest church I have ever visited. I like the way the kids just go off into their own world on these little visits.

Hari - I often end up in the cathedral of most cities I visit but sometimes end up feeling I'm intruding with my photo taking. I try to be sure that I'm not intruding on someone's quiet time.
